Haohan Shi

I'm a Ph.D. student in Northwestern University's Media, Technology, and Society.
At Northwestern, I collaborate in the Lab on Innovation, Networks, and Knowledge under the guidance of Prof. Agnes Horvat.
I'm broadly interested in misinformation, the science of science, online democracy, computational social science, and AI for social good. My work focuses on advancing online scholarly communication and promoting the democratization of science through digital science dissemination.
I obtained my master's degree in the MACSS program at UChicago. At UChicago, I worked in the Knowledge Lab with Prof. James Evans on the Misinformation Project.
Previously, I graduated from Emory University with a B.S. in Mathematics/Computer Science and Psychology/Linguistics. At Emory, I worked in the Concept Mining Lab with Prof. Phillip Wolff on
investigating large language model's knowledge about the physical world.
